Ahwatukee Farms is an exciting opportunity to connect, educate, and nourish the residents of Ahwatukee.  We are ecstatic about sharing the vision and eager to receive input from the community.

For the vision to be achieved, we need you.

We are asking residents to sign an amendment granting us the privilege to transform a failed golf course into a thriving community hub, right in the heart of Ahwatukee.

"Education is the key component to what makes the Ahwatukee Foothills so great. By signing the consent form, members of the community will be taking a huge step forward toward providing our children with the opportunity to learn about farming, sustainability, and so much more as a part of a 21st century education."

- Shetal Walters, Founder and Executive Director of Desert Garden Montessori

"Not only do farms provide access to fresh produce, but they also encourage social engagement and create a sense of place. Community farms create spaces where people can come together to learn, celebrate, and create memories together.”

- Katie Pigott, Community Agriculture Consultant at Farmer D Organics

Next Steps

The process to realize the vision for Ahwatukee Farms is multi-step. The process will include community meetings, public hearings, and various studies to ensure voices are heard and the property is developed in a way that positively benefits the residents of Ahwatukee Foothills. As we go through each step, it is possible the final vision for the property will evolve with suggestions from the public, Committee members and City Council members.
